For more than 25 years we have worked with business owners to help them understand their most prized asset- their business! Business owner portfolios are unique. Most include non-traditional and illiquid assets. We conduct a thorough analysis of every asset within the business owner’s portfolio with the goal of making the portfolio more efficient with less risk and a higher average annual rate of return over time. We take time to educate owners and their employees of the importance in contributing to various retirement plans such as 401(k), SEP, SIMPLE and Cash Balance plans and how they work including the tax benefits of each.

Financial Planning can be more complex for the business owner, and we understand the intricacies associated with owning a business and how to develop an approach for maximizing both the business and owner’s portfolio value. We work licensed CPAs to maximize the tax efficiency with the financial plan that we develop for our business owner clients.

Many business arrangements have needs for developing a succession plan. Buy-out agreements, otherwise known as a buy-sell agreements are a legally binding agreement between co-owners of a business that governs the scenario of a co-owner death or is otherwise forced to leave the business or chooses to leave. Life Insurance serves a unique role in satisfying the obligations of a buy-sell agreement for all owners. Key Man Insurance is another consideration in the event the owner or key employee passes away and their absence would dissolve the company. We help business owners determine how much coverage the business will need to completely replace their key person. At 360 Capital we will help owners evaluate all aspects of their business succession plan.
